We live in a rapidly changing world where conventional boundaries seem to be disintegrating. Yet, there are also boundaries that are being maintained and even reinforced. In light of the rapidly changing dynamics in today’s Kenyan communities, youth has become a major player in adjusting these transformations to meet different needs. The youth of today are the leaders tomorrow and need to be equipped with good ethical values to drive the nation in the right direction.

Delanyo Adadevoh, statement that “A society cannot rise up above the character of its leaders.”  The statement sums up key lessons from the previous conferences in relation to addressing the challenges Kenya is currently grappling with especially corruption. They are an indication of values majority of the citizens refer to as the norm and hence perpetuating the vice.

To address the above challenges, a pathway that guides the society work towards becoming ethical and developing young authentic leaders, who are emotionally intelligent, uphold integrity and embrace accountability & transparency is a step in the right direction. In addition, it is an opportunity to encourage and support young Authentic Leaders who are making a positive difference within their sphere of influence.
